Meredith McClure, MD
Dr. Meredith McClure has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology in the north Dallas area since 2007. In 2019, she transitioned her general OB/GYN practice to a gynecology only practice. During this transition, Dr. McClure recognized the care gap that exists for patients having sexual health difficulties, vulvovaginal disorders, and hormonal disruptions through the lifespan.
Dr. McClure is a vulvovaginal specialist and remains an active member of the International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease (ISSVD). She treats vulvar dermatologic conditions such as lichen sclerosus, lichen planus and lichen simplex chronicus. In addition, she treats vaginal disorders including complex, often recurrent, vaginitis (fungal, bacterial and desquamative inflammatory vaginitis) and hormonal changes affecting the vagina.
Relief of vulvar pain is one of Dr. McClure’s passions. She understands the complexity of this complaint and approaches it from all angles including dermatologic, hormonal, neurologic and musculoskeletal approaches.
Dr. McClure is also an expert in perimenopause and menopause care. She is a Certified Menopause Practitioner with The Menopause Society and is constantly learning and staying up to date with current data and evidence-based practices.
As a fellow of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH), Dr. McClure uses her expertise in sexual medicine to help patients with complaints of desire, arousal, orgasm and pain with all sexual experiences.
As Dr. McClure grew her gynecology practice, she realized that patients with these concerns need more time with their specialist than the 15 minute visit that exists in our current health care system. These are intimate and personal discussions that take time and attention to detail. Prior to their first visit with Dr McClure many patients have seen multiple practitioners looking for answers only to be left without the help they desperately need. After seeing Dr McClure, they are typically relieved that their condition is very manageable. Dr. McClure strives to educate and empower her patients to maximize their health now and in their future. She also educates learners and other practitioners to try and advance the knowledge and close the health care gap for patients with hormonal, vulvovaginal and sexual problems.
Dr. McClure’s mission with her micropractice is to provide expert, specialized care in perimenopause, menopause, vulvovaginal disorders and sexual medicine. Patients with these complaints deserve precise, personalized care to optimize and improve their outcomes and Dr. McClure strives to provide them with compassionate and expert evidence-based care
